Hard Chrome Electroplating Processes And Its Applications

Chrome is slang term to denote Chromium. This is one of the 92 naturally occurring elements found in nature. This is a type of metal that is not purely so lid and pure. There isn't anything we can find today is made from pure chromium but rather coated or polished with a chrome layer. The process used is called as Chrome Plating.
Mostly items that are made or with steel surfaces can be chrome plated. Other materials that can undergo this process are stainless steel, plastic, copper, brass and even aluminum. Before the object is plated, it is a must to clean the surface of the object first. Any signs of impurities or specs of dirt, dust or grime must be stripped away before the plating is started. The surface must be prepped too so that the plating will stick effectively and snugly on the surface.
